NSW 2008 Nottingham

Nottingham, 12th to 14th September 2008

Welcome merry men, and prepare to visit yourselves upon the fortified town of Nottingham in September next, whereupon the finest National Sporting Weekend of Round Tables will be held!
The peasants and genteel folk of Area 14 (but mostly peasants) who work the many fair pastures hereabouts have promised to lock up their daughters for the weekend (but only the ugly ones), and offer you a warm East Midlands welcome with outstanding hospitality.
The City of Nottingham reputedly boasts the best nightlife outside London, the easiest access of any major UK town and wenches that outnumber farmhands at a ratio of two to one!
The Sheriff of NSW Nottingham, Sir Willus de Ingleby and his merry men have secured the very finest facilities for accommodating your needs for sleeping, eating, drinking, dancing, laughing and basket weaving...and of course when it comes to the very serious business of sport, we are equipped with the finest venue in Middle England.
Ye beautiful Olde University of Nottingham and (not so very olde) East Midlands Conference Centre combine to provide top class sporting facilities with commercial grade entertainment, partying and rabble rousing all on one single campus, and everything within a stagger of everything else (yes, for the first time ever ALL Saturday sports and entertainment will take place on the campus - fantastic!).
We're confident that we can deliver the most exciting, enjoyable, entertaining and cost competitive NSW in the history of the event, so please come and enjoy it with us. We're men that you can trust (but we do wear tights though).
The following sports will be staged at NSW2008...
Please note that ALL sports will take place on the University of Nottingham campus apart from the Golf at Ruddington Grange Golf Club on Friday 12th September.
Further details including organising Table and rules will appear here soon.
It is possible that we may add further sports. Archery will be available (on campus) on the Friday. This will not be a 'competitive' sport as such, but prizes will be awarded for the most impressive sharp shooting of the day!

New LOWER package pricing for 2008!
Lower Prices? How? For the first time in many years, we've organised an event where everything takes place on campus. Because the University of Nottingham also hosts the East Midlands Conference Centre, we can access international standard sporting facilities and a corporate class entertainment complex in one location. This means that we have driven real cost savings by eliminating transport to off-site venues for entertainment and sports. We've also used the one-stop-shop booking approach to leverage pricing in our contract negotiations with the University. We're also pursuing very promising and lucrative sponsorship deals that will inject even greater value into our event - whilst NSW prices are coming DOWN!

Early booking - why? It's imperative for us to understand how many Tablers will come to NSW2008. We need to know this so that we can negotiate the most favourable rates and terms with our suppliers and entertainment acts. At previous NSW events, a cash surplus has been left over which the organisers could have spent to make the event better, had they been able to anticipate final numbers accurately. For this reason, we ask you to book as early as possible and reward your commitment by discounting bookings that are made before a 'cut off' date.
