How To Reach Us

By Road
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36, following the dual carriageway (signposted Windermere & South Lakes), via the Kendal bypass and the A591. Immediately on entering Windermere, turn left on the A592 to Bowness. At the lakeshore, continue past the Steamer Pier for 300 metres to the Burnside Hotel, which is on your left.

By Rail
Change for Windermere at Oxenholme (The Lake District), which is a main line station on the London Euston to Glasgow Central Line. Taxis are usually available from Windermere Station forecourt, but if in difficulty, telephone the hotel.

Directions for Coaches
On entering Bowness, take the first left, after the little mini roundabout in the centre of Bowness, which will take you on to Kendal Road. Continue for 200 metres to the Burnside Hotel, which is on your right.
